Tabitha
pursued her undergraduate studies
at the University of Michigan
in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where
she received a Bachelor of Business
Administration degree. Tabitha
received a number of educational
scholarships, graduated Cum Laude,
served as an elected Student Government
Representative, and was the Class
of 2001 Black Celebratory Commencement
Student Speaker.
Tabitha obtained
a Juris Doctorate degree in 2004
from Michigan State University
College of Law, formerly known
as the Detroit College of Law.
While at the College of Law, Tabitha
was on the dean’s list for
multiple semesters, she received
various law-related scholarships,
and served as a Moot Court Board
member where she was the State
of Michigan Appellate Competition
First Runner Up. She also served
on the Wolverine Student Bar Association
executive board and was the Class
of 2004 Commencement Student Speaker.
Legal
Experience:
While
a law student Tabitha worked for
a large law firm in Grand Rapids,
Michigan, the Ingham County Prosecutor’s
Office, and the chambers of the
Honorable David M. Lawson of the
U.S. District Court, Eastern District
of Michigan.
Tabitha has
served as the Judicial Advisory
Assistant to the Honorable John
A. Gadola and the Honorable Michael
J. Theile, both of the Genesee
County Circuit Court Family Division.
Tabitha was an associate attorney
with Fletcher, Wolf, Pianto, and
Associates and Rochelle J. Thompson,
P.C.
